Collection of this information is authorized by 5 U.S.C. 1402(a)(2) and (a)(3).

--Responding to the Federal Competency Assessment Tool-Management is voluntary. Maximum participation, however, is encouraged so the data will be complete and representative.
--The principal purpose of collecting this information is to improve the Federal Governments human capital efforts in leadership and succession management.
--This information will be used to help agencies practice sound human capital management in assessing the skill levels of managers, supervisors, team leaders, and others in leadership competencies and developing strategies to build capacity in leadership competencies.
--Additional demographic information about you is required to register you for the Federal Competency Assessment Tool - Management and its services. You will not be able to complete your registration without entering all of this information. This information may be used to categorize reports to Agencies on the participation of employees.

The Federal Competency Assessment Tool - Management is a government-owned system. Accordingly, sensitive employee information will be safeguarded and not shared with entities outside of the Federal government.

Potentially, this information may be provided to agencies, contractors, and other Federal agencies for analyses but such provision would be subject to the Privacy Act of 1974 as amended. Any other disclosure must be in accordance with the Act.
